A Side Note
During January, I’m focusing on Succession. This month, I’ll be contributing a chapter to a UK-produced book tentatively titled, Talent in the Legal Profession: How to Attract, Retain, and Engage Top Talent scheduled for publication mid-Spring, writing an opinion column for a Canadian legal publication set to appear late-Spring, and as you can see above, being a speaker for a webinar — all on the subject of Succession.
None of this was my idea; however, I find myself starting 2024 focused on handing off, endings, and helping savvy law firms and lawyers within them move ahead to other adventures.
As you know, I focus firmly on the future, and apply my experience to identify trends and insights to develop legal market strategies. This enables me to advise law firms and legal service businesses on formulating smart strategies that realize audacious objectives resulting in achieving a one-of-one market position. I will continue doing exactly this.
So for January, I’m focusing on the forward needs of Succession because there are reasons and requests for it. In doing so and with the participation of others, I expect we will discover new and helpful pathways to aid the global legal services market.
